2023 Ford Edge

Five trim levels are available for the new Edge, so you'll have no problem finding the version that fits your needs. The base level trim is known as the SE, and it already comes with quite a few impressive standard features like 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic on/off LED headlights, and active grille shutters. You'll even get LED taillamps and daytime running lights standard. If you're looking for an upgrade, the SEL trim is a great place to start. Its 18-inch wheels are a bit more stylish, and the power outside mirrors are heated. Meanwhile, the ST-Line trim offers 20-inch gloss-black wheels and unique front and rear lower fascias. The Titanium trim boasts 20-inch alloy wheels with the Elite package and a standard hands-free power rear liftgate. Finally, the ST features sporty lower-body cladding, fog lamps, and a dual-tip exhaust.

Two engine options are available for the Edge, but most models simply use the standard engine. It's a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. If that's not enough for you, you may be more interested in the ST's 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine. This powerhouse boasts 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Plus, it's an EcoBoost engine, so you can be sure you're maximizing efficiency as well as power.

One of the first things you'll notice about the Edge's performance is how well it handles corners. For a midsize SUV, it takes corners with controlled agility thanks to its well-tuned chassis. Of course, if you really want to make the most out of all the power under the hood, Sport Mode is available. V-6 models even come equipped with paddle shifters that let you take a more direct approach to shifting.

Inside the Edge, drivers can enjoy plenty of room for passengers and cargo alike. Even with the rear seats up, you'll still have 39.2 cubic feet of cargo space at your disposal. Fold the rear seats down and that increases to 73.4 cubic feet of space. The infotainment system is state of the art using Sync 4A software that's accessible through a massive 12-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all models.

The Edge is protected by the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite of safety tech, which includes a range of exciting driver assistance features that let you drive with peace of mind. These include automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. Additional optional features include evasive steering assist and adaptive cruise control. You'll also find bi-LED headlamps and fog lamps available.
